Alpha Professional Tools® is excited to announce their latest performance tool with the PSG-125 5” Pneumatic Grinder. This industrial quality grinder has a powerful 1.4 HP motor with speed control governor. It is compact, has an ergonomic aluminum body, a reversible safety lever throttle and two auxiliary handle positions. Its adjustable rotating exhaust and built-in oil port makes this tool great for any environment! Additionally, a wet cutting kit is available along with several specialty kits for various applications.

Question : What kind of compressor do I need to use with the PSG-125?

Answer : Since the PSG-125 may consume up to 33 CFM, Alpha® recommends using with 10 HP or larger compressor that is commonly found in most industries.

Question : Can I use the PSG-125 for wet cutting, grinding, etc.?

Answer : Yes. You can use the PSG-125 for wet applications. There is a kit available to alter the PSG-125 to the wet tool. See the WBC5KIT / WBC6KIT on our website for more information.

Question : Does the PSG-125 come with any grinding product?

Answer : No. The PSG-125 comes only with a standard flange and lock nut set suitable for grinding and cutting.

Question : Can I use the PSG-125 at the jobsite?

Answer : Yes as long as you have the required compressed air available (see specifications for details).

Question : What kind of maintenance do I have to do on the PSG-125?

Answer : Alpha® recommends applying rust inhibitor oil daily through the designated oil port at the end of the job to prevent rust. Refer to the owner’s manual for more recommended maintenance.

Question : Can I use a carbide tipped blade to cut ferrous and non-ferrous metal?

Answer : Yes. The PSG-125 Metal Cutting Kit is designed for this specific task. The attached Ecoguard M comes with a retractable safety guard that makes the carbide blade application safe and possible.

Question : Can I use the PSG-125 for concrete surface grinding?

Answer : Yes. The PSG-125 Grinding Kit is designed for this specific task. Alpha® recommends using a HEPA Vacuum for the compliance with the OSHA regulations.

Question : Can I use the PSG-125 for tuck pointing and/or crack chasing?

Answer : Yes. The PSG-125 Diamond Cutting Kit is designed for this specific task. Alpha® recommends using a HEPA Vacuum for the compliance with the OSHA regulations.

Question : Can the PSG-125 be used with a 6” diameter blade?

Answer : Yes, when used with the Alpha® WBC6KIT.
