The Alpha® Contour Blade for Marble is designed specifically for cutting marble and limestone sinkholes and other curve cutting applications. The special design incorporates an electroplated diamond on the both sides of the steel core, as well as on the peripheral cutting edge. This allows the blade to cut a curved area cleanly, accurately and safely while allowing a wider kerf, thus giving the blade easier cutting ability. Due to the excellent cutting ability, there is a noticeable increase in maneuverability over other standard blades. The Alpha® Contour Blade for Marble can be used either wet or dry. It is versatile and fits on the AWS-125 Wet Stone Cutter that allows plunge cutting with ultimate control.The Alpha® Contour Blade for Marble is unique and very cost-effective. Question : What materials can be cut using the Alpha® Contour for Marble?

Answer : This blade is designed for cutting all types of marble and limestone.

Question : The Alpha® Contour for Marble is a dry cutting blade, can I use this blade for wet application?

Answer : Yes. Alpha® highly recommends using this blade for wet cutting together with our AWS-125 Wet Stone Cutter. Wet cutting will generally increase blade life and will keep harmful dust (Silica), out of the air.

Question : The Alpha® Contour for Marble is available in what sizes?

Answer : This blade is available in 5” diameter only.

Question : What is the arbor size if this blade?

Answer : The arbor size is 7/8”.

Question : What is the purpose of having electroplated side protection on both sides of the blade?

Answer : These segments assist the blades cutting ability to cut curved areas cleanly as well as grind away material to make a wider kerf, allowing the blade to make tighter radiuses. They also prevent undercutting.

Question : What is the maximum RPM these blades should be used at?

Answer : The maximum RPM for this 5” blade is 12,200. This blade should not be used at RPM lower than 9,000.

Question : Can I use the Alpha® Contour for Marble for cutting granite or porcelain slab material?

Answer : No. The Alpha® Contour for Marble blade utilizes electroplated diamonds which are designed to cut only soft material. If you use this blade to cut hard materials such has granite or porcelain slab material, the electroplated diamonds will round-over/dull and the blades cutting ability will be lost almost immediately.

Question : Can I plunge-cut using this blade attached onto the Alpha® AWS-125 Wet Stone Cutter?

Answer : Yes. When the Contour for Marble blade is mounted on the Alpha® AWS-125 Wet Stone Cutter, you can plunge cut with excellent control, since you can place the base of the stone cutter on the material to give you better stability.
