Answer : The differences between these two grinding wheels are the aggressiveness in the grinding action. If your job requires aggressive grinding, use the coarse grinding wheel. If you need slower grinding action use the medium grinding wheel.
Note: The coarse DG Grinding Wheel is black and the medium wheel is grey.

Answer : The Alpha® DG Style Grinding Wheels are designed for profiling edges, smoothing out inside sinkhole cuts, smoothing rough surfaces, preparation of material for lamination and heavy stock removal.

Answer : The turbo design of the DG Style Grinding Wheels along with the formulated bond makes these wheels aggressive for fast stock removal.
Question : Can I use the Alpha® DG Style Grinding wheels on Marble or softer materials?
Answer : No. Due to the aggressive grinding ability and turbo rim design Alpha® recommends using our DS Style Grinding Wheels which are designed for softer materials.
Question : Can I use the Alpha® DG Style Grinding wheels on a polisher?
Answer : No. Alpha® recommends using these DG Style Grinding Wheels on high-speed angle grinders not exceeding 14,500 RPM. If these wheels are used on slow RPM polishers, the wheel may wear unevenly do to the slow RPM.
