Ecoguard D Series

The Alpha® Ecoguard Type D is a dust collection cover for drilling applications. This new innovative device helps to keep dust out of your face and off of the floor when drilling holes on walls and ceilings. The Ecoguard D captures the dust while leaving both hands free to drill. Since the dust cover is transparent, you can always see where you are drilling. Simply press the cover against the surface and drill away. Any dust or debris that results from the drilling is collected and can be easily emptied out when finished. The Ecoguard D makes jobs easier and saves the messy clean up afterwards.

Question : How can I install a side handle with the Ecoguard Dust Collection Covers?

Answer : After you install the Ecoguard Dust Collection Cover on a hammer drill, you are not able to install the original side handle due to the change of the collar size. Alpha® does offer an optional side handle suitable for Ecoguard Dust Collection Cover at a very reasonable price.

Question : How can I use the depth gauge to measure the drilling depth since I cannot use the original side handle?

Answer : The Ecoguard Dust Collection Cover DS comes with its original depth gauge. The DL doesn’t come with the depth gauge since longer bits are primary designed for drilling through the wall.

Question : Can I purchase parts for the Ecoguard Dust Collection Covers?

Answer : Due to the price point, there are no spare parts available for Ecoguard Dust Collection Cover.

Question : Can I use the Ecoguard Dust Collection Covers with a standard drill?

Answer : As long as the provided collar fits on your drill, you are able to use Ecoguard Dust Collection Covers with standard drills. Although we targeted these covers for the concrete and masonry applications, you are able to use them for dry wall, wood and composite applications.

Question : Can I use the Ecoguard Dust Collection Covers for steel applications?

Answer : You may be able to use for steel applications but you have to be aware that metal debris is hot and it may damage the Ecoguard Dust Collection Covers.
